The Maroons will enter the Origin arena on Thursday night sporting a distinctive jersey, showcasing an initiative that resonates personally with each player and their local community.
XXXX has been a longstanding sponsor of the Maroons; however, for the 2025 series, the brand’s logo will be absent from player jerseys.
Instead, the iconic beer brand has opted to replace their logo with the postcodes of the players, celebrating the local communities they represent.
Come Thursday evening, a total of 20 different postcodes will be proudly displayed, serving as a reminder to each athlete that they are representing not just their state but also their hometowns.
Queensland centre Shenae Ciesiolka, who has sported the Maroons jersey eight times since her debut in 2020, will carry the postcode ‘4401’.
She expressed her pride in representing the community where her love for the game first ignited.
“There’s something truly special about stepping onto the field for Queensland with my hometown on my sleeve,” Ciesiolka remarked.
