It was a dazzling display from Mitchell Moses, a contentious hip-drop tackle, and a spectacle of three sin-bins.
The closing match of round seven had everything one could hope for, and the Eels now boast two victories for the 2025 season following a tumultuous win against the Tigers.
Moses’ re-entry into the squad reinvigorated the Eels at CommBank Stadium, as tempers flared multiple times throughout the match.
The most significant incident occurred in the 53rd minute when Sunia Turuva ignited a full-on brawl.
Turuva was stopped by several Eels players before he sprung back up and slammed Ryley Smith into the turf. This prompted players from both teams to rush in, leading to Turuva and Eels forward Luca Moretti finding themselves in the sin bin.

As Turuva made his way to the sideline following the sin-binning, Sean Russell was seen taunting him.
Off the park, Turuva attempted to keep the verbal exchanges going with Russell.
“They’ve completely lost their composure, the Tigers,” remarked Greg Alexander during the broadcast on Fox League.
At half-time, the score stood at a stalemate of 10-10, with Moses performing admirably.
The first try for Parramatta was set up by a brilliant cut-out pass from Moses to Josh Addo-Carr, who scored in the corner following Moses’ earlier 40/20 kick.
The Tigers quickly equalised with tries from Terrell May and Jahream Bula.
However, Moses made his mark again, assisting Isaiah Iongi, who sped past the Tigers’ defence.
Immediately after the restart, another contentious moment arose.
Kelma Tuilagi was on a strong run when Samuela Fainu wrapped him up from behind without landing on his legs. The incident was subsequently put on report, shocking both Fainu and the commentary team.
“Who’s in the box claiming that was a hip-drop tackle?” asked Alexander incredulously.
“Nothing has landed on his legs. That’s absolutely ridiculous,” added Andrew Voss, also on the call.

Remarkably, after staying down and having his ankle treated, Tuilagi surged through to score moments later.
“That truly undermines the validity of the report,” Voss noted.

The Eels added two more tries through Sam Tuivaiti and Iongi, extending their lead to 26-10.
But then came the sin-bins, and the Bunker had more surprises in store.
Iongi was sent to the bin in the 58th minute after being penalised for a professional foul on Starford To’a, who was in pursuit following a chip and chase. The defence claimed he was merely attempting to play the ball.
“Does anyone actually support that sin-bin?” Alexander queried on Fox League.
Both Cooper Cronk and Alexander replied with a resounding “no”.
This had the effect of granting the Tigers a one-player advantage, allowing Alex Seyfarth and Luke Laulilii to score, narrowing the gap to 26-22.
However, Moses quickly reignited the Eels’ fortunes, delivering a precision kick on the very first tackle for Bailey Simonsson, who snatched the ball and raced away to score with just five minutes remaining.
Another try from Addo-Carr at the final whistle cemented a 36-22 victory that left no room for doubt.
