Melbourne Victory have secured the services of former Adelaide United star Louis D’Arrigo as they gear up for the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season.
D’Arrigo has inked a contract with the Grand Finalists that will see him remain at the club until the conclusion of the 2026-27 season, following his transfer from Polish top-flight side Lechia Gdansk.
The 23-year-old midfielder made 35 appearances for his previous club, playing a pivotal role in their promotion to the first division after finishing at the top of the Polish I Liga in 2024.
Having made a name for himself with Adelaide, where he clinched the 2019 Australia Cup and became the youngest player to reach 100 matches for the club at the age of just 21, D’Arrigo made the move to Europe in 2023.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Melbourne Victory,” D’Arrigo remarked.
“This club boasts a remarkable culture, dedicated fans, and a strong drive for success. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an environment.
“Returning to Australia is particularly special, and to do so with a club of Victory’s stature makes it even more meaningful. I’m eager to give my all for the team and play my part in what lies ahead.”
D’Arrigo becomes Melbourne Victory’s first signing of the off-season, following the re-signing of Clarismario Santos, while the club has seen the departures of key players including Kasey Bos (Mainz), Daniel Arzani (Ferencvarosi TC), along with Fabian Monge, Alex Menelaou, and Christian Siciliano.
“We’re delighted to welcome a player of Louis’ quality to the club,” stated Victory head coach Arthur Diles.
“He has proven himself to be a consistent performer at a high level, adding depth and quality to our midfield. With a strong season behind us, our focus is already on progressing to the next stage, and we believe Louis will play a vital role in that journey.
“He’s a fantastic addition, and we’re looking forward to having him in our squad.”
