Luis Enrique Confident ‘True Team’ PSG is Prepared for Champions League Final Following Cup Victory

While Paris St Germain players may have been gazing towards a grander goal, they effortlessly secured their French Cup title on Saturday, showcasing a performance that manager Luis Enrique described as the perfect preparation for the Champions League final.

Just a week ahead of their clash with Inter Milan in pursuit of the club’s long-coveted European Cup, PSG made quick work of Stade de Reims, cruising to a 3-0 victory at Stade de France.

“It was an excellent match. We prepared for the final on the 31st in the best possible way,” Luis Enrique told BeIN Sports.

“This (Champions League) final holds immense importance. We are eager to make history. We’re ready. We are a cohesive team, and we are determined to win trophies.”

PSG secured the win in a dominant first half, netting three goals against a Reims side that struggled to mount any serious challenge. Now, Luis Enrique’s focus shifts to getting his squad primed for the biggest game of their season.

“The Champions League final will be a unique moment for everyone. There isn’t any specific preparation,” he stated.

“We must manage the significant pressure, but we need to approach it in the best manner possible. It’s not straightforward managing everything associated with the team.”

In his first two seasons at the helm, Luis Enrique has already secured the domestic treble, during which PSG has moved away from the star-studded squads of previous years—a strategy that could potentially lead them to their ultimate ambition.

“We are a young team infused with experience and a clear vision of what we want to achieve on the pitch,” said Luis Enrique.

“We hope to rejoice in the Champions League victory.”

Having previously guided Barcelona to a prestigious continental treble, Luis Enrique now aims to replicate that success with the French club, which is focused on claiming every possible title this season.

“We have secured three of the four titles available to us, and we’re one step away. I hope we can etch PSG’s name in history,” the manager told reporters.

“The team demonstrated immense commitment, and all of this is shaping us for the forthcoming match, which is crucial and could allow us to make history.”
