Liverpool and Napoli Among Clubs Eyeing De Bruyne, Reports Di Marzio

Kevin De Bruyne is approaching the twilight of his illustrious spell at Manchester City, but his talent will undoubtedly attract a number of potential clubs. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that Napoli have expressed a strong interest in the Belgian midfielder, while Liverpool has also entered the fray with an offer.

Sky Sports, in conjunction with Gianluigi Bagnullo, suggests that Napoli are making significant efforts to secure De Bruyne for the upcoming season. His contract with Manchester City is set to expire at the close of the current campaign, and he revealed back in April that he plans to depart after a decade with the club.

The Azzurri are eager to leverage the close bond between De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, which, assuming Lukaku remains, could aid in persuading his fellow national team player to join. Nevertheless, Di Marzio also indicates that the Belgian playmaker is contemplating Liverpool’s offer, allowing him to extend his Premier League journey despite the fierce rivalry with City.

Since 2015, De Bruyne has made a remarkable 418 competitive appearances for Manchester City, netting 108 goals and providing 177 assists. His honours list includes six Premier League titles, five League Cups, two FA Cups, and a Champions League triumph with the club in 2023.
