Lazio, competing in Serie A, has secured the services of 21-year-old defender Oliver Provstgaard from Vejle Boldklub on a contract reported to extend until the summer of 2029.
At Lazio, Provstgaard, who currently captains the U21 national team, will join forces with Gustav Isaksen, who has been part of the Italian side for the past 18 months.
The young defender has been assigned the shirt number 25 for his new club.
“Vejle Boldklub has always held a significant place in my heart and continues to do so. It is a club that has carefully mapped out my football journey since I first joined as a 13-year-old,” Provstgaard stated on Vejle’s official website.
“This club stood by me through various challenges, nurturing my growth both as a player and as an individual. During my time at VB, I have been fortunate to work with talented coaches, teammates, and wonderful people both within and around the club.”
“I am now ready to embrace the next chapter in my career, bolstered by my dedicated efforts and experiences at Vejle Boldklub.”
“I want to express my gratitude to everyone I have encountered on my journey at VB—be it the fans, club staff, volunteers, coaches, or teammates.”
In his time at Vejle, the 21-year-old Provstgaard has made 91 appearances and netted three goals.
