Knights coach Adam O’Brien has issued a reminder to Parramatta supporters following the booing of departing star Dylan Brown during the match last weekend.
The 24-year-old has recently opted to head to Newcastle for the next decade, but he will complete the current season with the Eels.
Unfortunately for Brown, he faced negative reactions from fans after Parramatta suffered a heavy defeat to the Wests Tigers in round two.
Although the five-eighth has not publicly addressed the jeering, O’Brien expressed his sympathy for Brown, who will reportedly rake in $13 million over his 10-year contract with the Knights.

“It would be tough for any young player to endure that level of scrutiny,” the coach remarked to the media on Thursday.
“I can’t answer for the fans’ perspectives, but I will say that he’s been a valuable player for the club and has even played in a grand final for them.
“He’s still the same player he was just a few weeks back… I genuinely empathise with him.”

Brown has played his entire career with the Eels and, even though he had opportunities to stay with the club, the offer from Newcastle proved too lucrative to refuse.
His early-season performance, particularly after signing a colossal contract, has attracted criticism; however, O’Brien is determined that this won’t affect Newcastle’s judgement.

“I haven’t lost confidence in our acquisition,” he stated.
“I’m genuinely pleased that we’re able to welcome Dylan to the club next year, and I have a clear vision of how he will fit into our side.
“Regarding his performance at Parramatta, I know he’s focused on this season and aims to finish strongly with them.”
Brown will take to the field for the Eels this Sunday afternoon against the Bulldogs.
