New South Wales will need to adjust their extended squad following a suspected fractured eye socket suffered by Keaon Koloamatangi.
Koloamatangi exited the field during the 70th minute of the match against the Bulldogs for a Head Injury Assessment, with AAP later reporting the severity of his injury.
The Rabbitohs forward collided with Viliame Kikau while attempting a tackle in the second half, making contact between his face and Kikau’s forearm.
Immediately, Koloamatangi clutched his face and remained on the ground.
While South Sydney regained possession, Koloamatangi was unable to join the defensive line until after the third tackle.
Referee Adam Gee halted the game two tackles later, instructing him to leave the field.
