England’s skipper Harry Kane has expressed that the imminent heatwave in the United States will serve as excellent preparation for next year’s World Cup. This announcement follows his successful leadership of Bayern Munich into the last 16 of the Club World Cup at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on Friday.
The 31-year-old forward netted his first goal of the competition, helping the Bundesliga champions overcome a determined Boca Juniors side and secure their place in the knockout stages with a match still to play.
With temperatures across the U.S. projected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius in the coming days, Kane remained unfazed, asserting that it will be a “fantastic experience” as they aim for World Cup success next summer.
“It’s all part of football; you need to be able to adjust,” he noted.
“This serves as invaluable experience for me and several other England players who will be competing in the World Cup next year.
“There’s something truly unique about the World Cup matches, and I expect next year to be just as special. Stepping off that pitch, dripping in sweat and cramping after giving your all, creates a remarkable feeling inside.
“That’s precisely what we experienced today.”
Defender Trent Alexander-Arnold described the sweltering conditions he faced during his Real Madrid debut in Miami as “extremely challenging, quite different from England.”

Kane mentioned that he hasn’t been in touch with his fellow players, but acknowledged that the weather will be a topic of conversation in the forthcoming England training camps.
“Every bit of experience gained here will prove useful as it will undoubtedly be tough next summer, and it’s vital to take lessons from matches like this one.
“I’m feeling good,” he added. “It’s a lengthy season, but I’ve managed to keep going for the last seven or eight years with very little time off in the summer. You learn to adapt and take necessary steps for recovery.
“I’m feeling fit and prepared, so I’ll utilise these experiences to see what works best leading up to next year.”
