Juventus dominated Al Ain with a commanding 5-0 win in their inaugural match at the FIFA Club World Cup (CWC), against an opponent that had remarkably allowed just one goal in their prior seven encounters.
The Bianconeri showcased their attacking prowess right from the start, taking the lead after just 11 minutes. A delightful sequence of play culminated in Randal Kolo Muani leaping to head Alberto Costa’s cross past Rui Patricio.
Despite Al Ain’s attempts to create chances, they struggled to get past Michele Di Gregorio and soon found themselves trailing again. Francisco Conceicao danced across the six-yard area, unleashing a shot that took a fortunate deflection off Ramy Rabia and nestled in the back of the net.
Shortly after Khéphren Thuram’s attempt was blocked, he played the ball to Kenan Yildiz, who created enough space for a spectacular long-range strike that clipped the post and found the goal just after the half-hour mark.

Juventus continued their fluid style as Yıldız hit the side netting, followed by Conceicao’s effort deflected out for a corner, which saw Lloyd Kelly head wide. Moments before the interval, the fourth goal came when Kolo Muani sprinted onto Thuram’s perfectly-weighted pass and finished confidently.
Following the break, Al Ain pushed back, with a marginal offside decision denying Rabia a potential goal just two minutes in. Di Gregorio was then forced to tip over a powerful shot from Kodjo Laba, while Weston McKennie went wide with a wild strike, and Costa had his effort blocked at the other end.
However, Juventus restored their scoring in the 58th minute, with Conceição seamlessly cutting inside Kouame Kouadio to beat PatrÃcio. Soon after, the debutant goalkeeper rushed out to deny Kolo Muani a hat-trick after yet another brilliant piece of play from Conceicao.
Douglas Luiz then had a shot go wide before hitting the post, allowing Juventus to celebrate their third consecutive competitive victory for the first time since February — a promising sign as they prepare to face Wydad AC. The Bianconeri also ended Al Ain’s impressive seven-game winning streak, while Al Ain’s upcoming challenge against Manchester City promises to be another tough test.
