Juventus has officially extended Igor Tudor’s contract for an additional two years as they gear up for their Club World Cup campaign, the Serie A side confirmed on Friday.
Damien Comolli, the club’s newly appointed general manager, expressed confidence in the Croatian coach during a statement on Tuesday. Tudor took over the managerial role less than three months ago.
Tudor stepped in March following the departure of Thiago Motta, with Juventus having been knocked out of all cup competitions and sitting outside the top four in Serie A. Since Tudor’s arrival, the team has only lost one league match, successfully clinching the fourth position to secure a spot in the Champions League.
“Tudor has committed to our club until June 30, 2027, with an option for 2028, and he will also continue to lead the men’s first team in the upcoming seasons, starting with the first official competition in the United States, the Club World Cup,” the Turin-based club stated in an announcement.
Juventus will face Emirati side Al Ain in Washington, D.C. this Wednesday, followed by matches against Morocco’s Wydad AC and Manchester City in Group G.
