Broncos’ Jordan Riki is set to miss the next two games due to a high tackle on Jack Bostock during his team’s victory over the Dolphins on Friday night.
Riki was officially reported just before the break, and on Saturday he received a grade two careless high tackle charge.
If he chooses to contest the charge at the judiciary and is unsuccessful, he will face an additional match suspension.
The incident occurred when Riki made contact with Bostock’s head immediately after Adam Reynolds had taken the Dolphins winger down low. In commentary for Nine, Andrew Johns noted that the initial impact from Reynolds altered Bostock’s movement into Riki’s head.

“That was a tough call,” he remarked after the replays were aired. Riki was reported, yet he was not sent to the sin bin.
Bostock exited the field for a HIA but was cleared to return at half-time.
From the same match, Tom Gilbert has also been handed a one-match suspension for a high tackle on Kotoni Staggs.
He received a similar charge to Riki but was given a lighter sentence due to it being his first offence.
