Newcastle Jets defender Daniel Wilmering has committed his future to the club, signing a new two-year deal that will see him remain until the conclusion of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season.
Wilmering made his move to the Jets before the start of the 2023-24 season and the 24-year-old full-back has since made 53 appearances for the team.
Previously a key player for Western Sydney Wanderers, Wilmering was instrumental last season, earning 23 starts from 26 appearances under the guidance of former manager Rob Stanton.

“Since I arrived in Newcastle, I have adored both the city and playing in front of our supporters,” Wilmering stated following the announcement of his new deal.
“We are constructing something truly exciting and I eagerly look forward to stepping onto the pitch before a full stadium.
“I recognise the club has significant aspirations this season and I am excited to contribute to it. I’m keen for what lies ahead.”
