The NSW Blues have etched their name in history by clinching their first multi-match Origin series, showcasing a commanding performance against the Maroons in the second game.
With a 1-0 advantage before the match, the Blues aimed to put an end to Queensland’s dominance following the Maroons’ victories in both a two-match series in 2023 and a three-match series last year.
They achieved their goal in a drenched Allianz Stadium, decisively defeating the Maroons 26-6.
A standout moment for the Blues came when Jaime Chapman demonstrated her remarkable agility, extending the lead to 20-6 in the latter stages of the game.

The Blues’ winger burst through the line on the flank, expertly stepping outside before cutting back in, leaving Maroons fullback Tamika Upton flailing at thin air.
“She moves like a gazelle,” remarked Phil Gould on Nine, praising Chapman.
Upton later clutched her hamstring and exited the game.
While Chapman’s effort was a highlight, Olivia Kernick shone as the true star for the Blues, scoring two tries throughout the match.
Kernick’s brace came in response to a contentious decision made earlier in the game, where a try was awarded to Tamika Upton due to a knock-on from Kernick.
“She endured a tough call early in the game but bounced back exceptionally. Her contributions in the middle of the field have been outstanding; this is her second try of the match, and none deserves it more than her,” Phil Gould commented on Nine after Kernick’s second try.
