EPISODE 23: BLOCKBUSTER Elimination Finals & Melbourne City Claim Premiership Title
The rosters are set as we gear up for two thrilling Elimination Finals that will kick off the 2024-25 Ninja A-League Finals Series.
Adelaide United will host Western United at Coopers Stadium in one of the knockout matches taking place this weekend. The Reds are excited to announce the return of standout striker Chelsie Dawber, who has been sidelined for the past three weeks due to injury.
Dawber missed Adelaide’s concluding two fixtures of the regular season with a glute issue; her comeback allows head coach Adrian Stenta to reunite her with Fiona Worts and Erin Healy in a formidable attacking trio.

However, there is some unfortunate news for the Reds, as promising young defender Zoe Tolland has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury sustained against Sydney FC in the last match of the season. Tolland has accumulated over 2,000 minutes on the pitch this season, making her one of the most utilised players in the Adelaide squad.
Western United arrives for the match with added confidence following the inclusion of captain Chloe Berryhill (née Logarzo) in Kat Smith’s squad. Berryhill, who sustained a cork injury in the final round, has been included in the lineup for the knockout fixture.
In the second Elimination Final of the weekend, Central Coast Mariners will face Canberra United at Industree Group Stadium. Mariners coach Emily Husband has made a few changes to her lineup, bringing in Greta Kraszula, Tess Quilligan, and Lily McMahon into an otherwise stable squad for the home encounter.
Canberra’s manager Antoni Jagarinec has also expanded his roster with the addition of three players, including Jaya Bowman, Janet King, and Tegan Bertolissio, set to make the journey to Gosford.
Stay tuned for further updates on both Elimination Finals in the Ninja A-League.
