Cameron Munster light-heartedly suggested that coach Craig Bellamy might need to pull on the boots for the Storm’s Magic Round face-off against the Raiders, as the team’s injury woes continue to mount.
Young speedster Sua Faalogo will be absent from Suncorp Stadium following a severe high tackle from Latrell Mitchell during the Storm’s 24-16 Anzac Day victory over the Rabbitohs.
He will be cheering from the stands alongside teammates Will Warbrick (concussion), Jack Howarth (shoulder), Dean Ieremia (Achilles), and Moses Leo (shoulder).
“He’s lacing up… might see him on the wing,” Munster quipped about his coach while addressing the media on Friday evening.
“I don’t think I’d make a very good winger,” Bellamy replied with a chuckle.

Cameron Munster jokingly suggested that Craig Bellamy could lace up for the Storm amidst the team’s injury crisis. Nine
Bellamy, who played 150 matches for the Raiders during the ’80s and early ’90s, often came off the bench, playing various positions including centre and half.
In the early hours of Saturday, Mitchell faced a grade two charge for dangerous contact. If he contests the charge at the judiciary and fails, he will face a two-match suspension.
Faalogo’s 2025 season has already been plagued by a persistent hamstring issue. This marks his first on-field appearance of the year, following 14 games played in 2023.

Despite his injury, Faalogo did not waste his opportunity to shine, making 13 runs for a total of 156 metres before his night was cut short in the 51st minute.
The Storm’s ongoing injury troubles have left Bellamy scratching his head.
“I’m really not sure what has caused this run of injuries to our outside backs, and I don’t see many of them returning in the near future,” he commented.
“We’re really struggling in that area, and Sua not being available next week certainly doesn’t help.
“It’s a tough situation, so we need to adapt and ensure it gives someone else the opportunity to step up.”
