Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors from the K League 1 have officially announced the acquisition of young Perth Glory winger, Joel Anasmo, via a short-term loan agreement.
The 20-year-old’s loan is set to run until the end of June, with Jeonbuk holding the option to lengthen the loan period or, contingent upon a negotiated transfer fee, secure Anasmo on a permanent deal.
Since making his debut against Melbourne City in February 2024, Anasmo has participated in 22 league matches for Glory. He notably scored on his debut and has since made one starting appearance alongside 21 substitute outings in the Isuzu UTE A-League, following his rise from the club’s academy to the first-team squad.

With the confirmation of his signing, Jeonbuk indicated that the agreement for Anasmo was completed in March. The delay in the announcement stemmed from administrative tasks and the approval of the winger’s visa.
Currently, Jeonbuk is in the midst of the 2025 K League 1 season, having played seven matches and sitting in fourth place, trailing league leaders Daejeon Hana by five points with a game in hand.
