Perth Glory has secured the signature of Arion Sulemani, a talent from the Melbourne City academy, on a two-year contract.
The 20-year-old forward made eight appearances for City in the 2024-25 season as Aurelio Vidmar’s team clinched the Isuzu UTE A-League Championship.
In search of more on-field opportunities, the Subway Young Socceroos striker has left the reigning champions to join the current wooden spoon holders. He’s excited to learn from Glory captain and Socceroos star Adam Taggart during his time in Perth.
“The primary reason for my move was to secure consistent game time,” Sulemani stated. “With the unwavering support of (Football Director) Stan Lazaridis and Head Coach (David Zdrilic), making the decision to join Perth was straightforward for me as a player.”
“When a club shows full faith in your abilities, it significantly boosts your confidence on the pitch.”
“Given the signings the club has made and its clear vision moving forward, I believe this season is going to be exceptional. I’m eager to meet my teammates and begin pre-season preparations.”
“On a personal level, my goal is to play regularly, score goals, and absorb as much knowledge as I can from players like Adam Taggart.”
“I’m really looking forward to starting work and having a fantastic season next year.”
This off-season has been quite eventful for Glory and head coach David Zdrilic, with Sulemani marking the sixth new signing for the club, joining Brian Kaltak, Sam Sutton, Scott Wootton, Callum Timmins, and Mark Birighitti (2026-27).

“Arion is a quick and powerful striker with exceptional footwork, providing us with an excellent option in attack,” commented Glory Football Director Lazaridis.
“His playing style aligns perfectly with David Zdrilic’s tactical preferences, and we see a tremendous potential for development in him.”
“At City, Arion was competing for gametime alongside some star players, but we believe he is primed for a breakout season here at Glory, and we’re excited to assist him in reaching his full potential.”
