Eintracht Frankfurt has reached an agreement with Leeds United to convert the loan of Danish defender Rasmus Kristensen into a permanent transfer, according to a report by The Athletic.
This move is expected to be finalised when the summer transfer window officially opens on June 1.
Reports suggest that anonymous sources from Leeds have indicated the transfer could be valued at as much as €9 million (£7.7 million; $9.026 million).
Insiders from the German club have revealed that the initial fee will amount to €6 million (£5.1 million; $6.8 million), with additional performance-related bonuses possible.
Frankfurt originally secured Kristensen on loan last July, and since then, the Danish international right-back, who is set to face Tottenham in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday, has established himself within the Bundesliga.
Former Leeds player Robin Koch, along with two others, has managed more playing time than Kristensen this season, during which Frankfurt have been in strong form and are currently vying for a Champions League position, sitting third in the Bundesliga.
Kristensen, who previously played for Red Bull Salzburg, still has two years remaining on the five-year contract he signed when Leeds acquired him for around £10 million ($13.2 million) in 2022.
