Veteran Dolphins player Felise Kaufusi is likely facing a spell on the sidelines after being charged by the match review committee following an incident on Saturday night.
The seasoned enforcer was sin-binned early during the team’s significant victory over the Cowboys for a late hit on young playmaker Tom Duffy.
The 33-year-old received his marching orders from referee Todd Smith after replays revealed that Kaufusi made high contact with Duffy while he didn’t have the ball.
“It’s a head-on-head collision,” Greg Alexander commented on Fox League.
“There’s not much technique involved in that tackle,” added commentator Andrew Voss.

Kaufusi has now been issued a grade three dangerous contact charge and will be sidelined for two matches if he enters an early guilty plea.
If he chooses to contest the charge at the judiciary and is unsuccessful, Kaufusi will face a three-game suspension.

This incident somewhat dampens what was otherwise an outstanding performance from Kristian Woolf’s team, who have now climbed into the top eight and appear to be serious contenders as the season progresses.
Jack Bostock scored four tries in the 58-4 rout, while the halves combination of Kodi Nikorima and Isaiya Katoa continues to show weekly improvement.
A trip to Newcastle awaits the Dolphins next weekend, followed by a home match against South Sydney, and a bye to round off the representative period.
