Since its refurbishment in 1992, the seats at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen have been adorned in red, but this coming summer, they are set to be replaced with new dark blue ones.
Parken Stadium, the proud home of FC Copenhagen and the Danish national football team, will see these red seats swapped out for sleek blue alternatives this summer.
“In 2024, all stands received a fresh coat of white paint, and with the introduction of blue seats, we aim to elevate the overall visual experience at the best stadium in Denmark,” stated FC Copenhagen on their official website.
“We are eagerly anticipating the launch of this project,” remarked FCK director Jacob Lauesen on the club’s site.
As FCK’s colours are white and blue, the club wishes to reflect these hues throughout the stadium, reinforcing its identity.
Since the stadium’s renovation in 1992, the seating has always been red, but starting this summer, it will be transformed to dark blue.
FCK explained that this change aims to create a simple yet aesthetically pleasing overall impression.
“Our home ground is a vital aspect of our identity, and so it’s only fitting that Parken Stadium reflects our white and blue colours,” expressed Jacob Lauesen.
The installation of the new seats is set to commence following a Robbie Williams concert in the park on 19 June.
The work on the seating will unfold over a longer duration, taking into consideration FCK’s match calendar, although the club has not provided a specific timeline for the colour project.
