An integral part of the Australian Grand Prix, our dedicated car clubs are making a spectacular showing at Albert Park, presenting their finest vehicles to the enthusiastic crowd during the four-day extravaganza.
Situated on either side of Pit Stop Park, nestled between turns eight and ten of the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit, the Motorsport Australia Sporting and Enthusiast car clubs are exhibiting an impressive range of marques that reflect various eras of automotive excellence.
From classic circuit racers to rugged off-road trucks, the displays from these car clubs offer something for every admirer.
For Brett, a representative of the Melbourne Cobra Owners Club, the Grand Prix serves as a fantastic venue to connect with fellow car enthusiasts.
“It’s a great opportunity to get out, have fun, watch talented drivers, and engage in conversations about cars,” Brett commented.
“This event differs from other car shows; it attracts far more visitors and offers countless activities. It’s all about meeting others who share a passion for automobiles.”

Peter from the Jaguar Car Club of Victoria shared his sentiments as well.
“This event allows us to talk to other Jaguar enthusiasts,” Peter explained.
“It’s also a perfect chance to showcase our vehicles.
“Today, we’re displaying a diverse range, from the original Sharp racing car to a Lightning McQueen charity XK, alongside a few classics like the Mark 5 and XK150.”

The Renault Car Club of Victoria also took the opportunity to showcase their impressive line-up.
“The atmosphere here has been fantastic—truly excellent,” Andrew, a club member, said.
“We’ve attracted a lot of interest, particularly in the two Alpines and the Gordini, which is the last remaining member of the works rally team.”

Frank, the Membership Secretary of the Austin Healey Sprite Drivers Club, elaborated on why his club participates each year.
“It’s about gaining visibility at the Grand Prix,” Frank remarked.
“Many passers-by are fascinated by these vintage cars. Most people stopping to admire have never laid eyes on a Sprite before.
“We’ve maintained a display at every Grand Prix since 2014 and have even completed the presentation lap on three occasions.
“Typically, we showcase our cars at various historical racing events. While we are essentially a social club, many members also race, with several participating in hill climbs or motorkhanas.”
