Terrell May has made it clear that he won’t be pressuring his brother, Taylan, regarding his contract decisions, particularly with the Rabbitohs showing interest.
The former Panthers centre has not played in the NRL since July 2024, when he was subject to the league’s no-fault stand-down policy following his arrest on domestic violence charges.
Those charges have since been dropped, allowing Taylan to return to the field.
Recently, he toured the South Sydney facilities, with Wayne Bennett confirming the club’s interest to News Corp.

Speaking prior to the Beer, Footy, Food Festival at North Sydney Oval this Sunday, Terrell expressed he would be “absolutely delighted” to see his brother make a return to the NRL.
“Of course, he’s my brother, so we chat daily,” he told Wide World of Sports.
“I’ve just encouraged him to pursue what makes him happy. I don’t want to impose anything on him.”

“Wherever he finds joy and feels most comfortable is where I want him to play. If that happens to be at Souths, then he should go for it.”
“I just have to focus on what makes him happy, rather than being selfish and wanting him to join me. I just want him to find joy and embrace life once more.”

In May, Taylan expressed that his preference was to play alongside his brother.
Following the withdrawal of the charges, the Tigers were swiftly linked to him.
However, South Sydney’s interest appeared to place Bennett in a strong position.
The Tigers chose not to comment on their ongoing interest, while WWOS has reached out to Taylan’s management for clarification.
Terrell has voiced his desire to play together with Taylan and their other brother Tyrone.
He affirmed that this dream remains intact.
“Hopefully, it’s all about timing, and we’ll leave that in God’s hands. Ultimately, no one else is in charge of that but Him,” he stated.
