England’s latest football prodigy, Cole Palmer, had previously set an impressive benchmark in 2024 with 29 goals and eight assists for Chelsea.
However, since the start of this year, his performance has sharply declined, resulting in just three goals and five assists thus far in 2025. Fortunately, the Blues have seen Enzo Fernandez stepping up to fill the void.
The Argentine midfielder not only netted a crucial goal that secured victory against Los Angeles FC with ten minutes remaining, but he has also officially become the team’s top scorer and assist leader in 2025.
With six goals to his name during this period, Fernandez has taken on the mantle of offensive responsibilities, even though it is not his primary role.
