Eels superstar Zac Lomax faces a significant spell on the sidelines, just days after his dramatic golden-point triumph over the Dragons.

The 25-year-old clinched the win with a field goal in extra time, delivering a heartfelt moment at CommBank Stadium against his former team.

However, scans have confirmed that Lomax has sustained a foot fracture, as Parramatta disclosed on Wednesday.

The talented winger is projected to be sidelined for a minimum of six weeks, which raises questions about his availability for NSW in the State of Origin.

Blues coach Laurie Daley had earmarked Lomax for a wing position in the series opener.

Lomax shared a series of images from Parramatta’s round five victory on his Instagram account on Tuesday night, captioning it with “BRB Fam,” hinting at his upcoming absence.
