According to reports from the Netherlands, David Hancko may be on the verge of leaving Feyenoord for a new chapter in Saudi Arabia. The Slovakian defender has piqued the interest of Al-Nassr, the club featuring Cristiano Ronaldo.
Hancko’s potential exit from Feyenoord has been discussed over several transfer windows. Members of the Juventus hierarchy have openly expressed their admiration for the Slovakian centre-back, while last summer saw intense speculation regarding a move to Atlético Madrid.
The former Sparta Prague player has also been linked to several prominent Premier League teams, including the prospect of reuniting with his old coach Arne Slot at Liverpool.
For the first time, an overseas club has formally expressed interest.
Al Nassr, home to Cristiano Ronaldo, is reportedly looking to entice Hancko to the Middle East with a lucrative salary package. The Saudi side is prepared to make Hancko the most expensive outgoing transfer in the history of Feyenoord, breaking the previous record set by Santiago Giménez’s move to AC Milan for €32 million earlier this year.
Hancko’s market value aligns closely with this figure. However, Feyenoord holds an advantage as the defender is contracted until summer 2028, meaning they aren’t under pressure to allow a vital player to depart for free. Atlético Madrid previously attempted to start negotiations with a €15 million bid, but their offer was deemed insufficient by the Rotterdam club, which chose not to engage further.
Financing is unlikely to be an obstacle for a club that pays Ronaldo around €200 million per year and recently acquired Jhon Durán from Aston Villa for €77 million. The sale of Hancko could inject several million euros into the coffers of Feyenoord.

This season, the Slovakian defender has contributed to six goals across all competitions, with an average league rating of 7.2. His durability is also appealing—he recently resumed starting after an impressive streak of 83 consecutive appearances was broken in January.
Feyenoord appears prepared for Hancko’s exit this summer, with the player himself indicating a preference for a transfer at that time.
