Serie A club Como has reportedly made significant offers for AZ Alkmaar winger Jayden Addai.
As per Italian transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio, Como initiated discussions for Addai with an initial bid of €10 million, which AZ promptly declined, expressing their desire to retain the talented young winger.
Voetbal International reports that Como has since increased their offer to €12 million. Additionally, the Serie A outfit is in negotiations to sign Real Betis winger Jesus Rodriguez, according to Di Marzio.
The 19-year-old Addai stood out as a key player in AZ’s successful U19 team that clinched the UEFA Youth League title in 2023, contributing four goals and two assists in eight games.
Due to injuries, Addai saw limited action with the senior team last season, logging just 652 minutes of play. He managed to score three goals, including two in the KNVB Beker, but recorded no assists overall. However, he excelled for Jong AZ, the club’s U21 team, netting seven goals and providing three assists in 12 Eerste Divisie matches.
