Christian Eriksen believes that Thomas Frank would be an ideal fit for Tottenham should he be appointed as the manager of the Europa League-winning club, a move that is widely anticipated.
It’s no longer a secret that Thomas Frank is poised to take the reins at Tottenham, and Eriksen, who had some of his most memorable years with the club, is excited about the prospect of Frank stepping in to replace Ange Postecoglou.
“With Thomas’ background, character, and the club’s identity, it would be a perfect match for me. If it becomes official, it will be a significant step, not just for Tottenham, but also for Denmark to have a coach in such a prestigious club. It could be something truly special,” Eriksen remarked, adding:
“Of course, this needs to become a reality first, but if he does get the job, I definitely wish him all the best,” noted Eriksen, who was managed by Frank during his time at Brentford in the 2021/22 season.
Brian Riemer, the coach of the Danish national team, also sees Thomas Frank as an outstanding choice for Spurs.
“It’s fantastic for Danish football. This marks the first instance of a Danish coach leading a top-6 club in the Premier League,” said Riemer, who is thrilled about the significant opportunity his close friend is about to embark on. “It’s extraordinary that Thomas will break through that barrier.”
“Thomas is not Mourinho nor Conte; he is different. His success will come through his unique approach. Thomas has a remarkable ability to connect with people and foster teamwork, which may be exactly what Tottenham needs at this juncture. He is ready to make an impact.”
If Thomas Frank is officially appointed as Tottenham’s new manager, he will become the first Danish coach in the club’s history.
Christian Eriksen played for Tottenham from 2013 until 2020.
