Christian Eriksen believes that Thomas Frank will be an excellent fit for Tottenham Hotspur if he is appointed to lead the club, which has recently celebrated a Europa League victory.
It is widely acknowledged that Thomas Frank is poised to become the new head coach of Tottenham, with Eriksen, who enjoyed some of his finest moments at the club, expressing his enthusiasm for Frank’s anticipated arrival to succeed Ange Postecoglou.
“Considering Thomas’s background, character, and his connection to the club, it seems like a great match. If it becomes official, it would truly be a fantastic opportunity—not only for Thomas but also for Danish football to have a coach at such a prominent club like Tottenham. It could be something really special,” Eriksen stated, adding:
“Of course, we need to wait for it to be confirmed first, but should he secure the position, I certainly wish him all the best,” said Eriksen, who played under Frank during the 2021/22 season at Brentford.
Additionally, Brian Riemer, the head coach of the Danish national team, perceives Frank as the ideal candidate for Spurs.
“This is fantastic news for Danish football. For the first time, we have a Danish coach in a top-six club within the Premier League,” remarked Riemer, who is thrilled about the challenge his close friend is about to embrace. “It’s remarkable that Thomas will shatter that barrier.”
“Thomas is neither Mourinho nor Conte; he will succeed because he approaches things differently. He brings his own style. He excels at connecting with people and fostering a strong team dynamic, which may be just what Tottenham needs. He’s coming in to make a positive impact.”
If Thomas Frank is officially named as the new manager, he will make history as the first Danish coach to take charge of Tottenham Hotspur.
Christian Eriksen was a key player for Tottenham from 2013 to 2020.
