Cameron Green made an immediate impact on his return from back surgery, scoring a century in his first outing of the season with Gloucestershire.
The 25-year-old has been out of action since September last year after undergoing surgery for a stress fracture in his back in October.
Green debuted for the UK county team on Saturday (AEST) and reached his century off 171 balls before having to retire due to cramping.
After raising his bat, he managed to hit a single and signalled to his batting partner to stretch while he kept his pads on.

However, his time on the pitch was cut short as he left the field shortly afterwards.
The Australian star reassured fans that the cramping would not hinder his performance on day two, stating he simply needed a “good night’s sleep” to recover.
“It’s been eight long months away from playing, so to be back out here is truly special,” Green said after departing the pitch.
“I’m definitely proud of what I achieved. It’s always a great way to kick off your time with the club.”
Green’s century marked the tenth instance of a player reaching this milestone on debut for the club.
He is set to play five four-day red-ball matches for Gloucestershire, aiming to put his name forward for selection in the Australian team.
His commitments with the UK county side will conclude at the end of May.
Gloucestershire competes in the second division, where fellow Australian Cameron Bancroft serves as captain.
It is likely that Green will not bowl on day two when his team resumes play against Kent’s first innings on Sunday (AEST).
