Legendary Wests Tigers player Bryce Gibbs has expressed concern that no NRL athletes will want to team up with Lachlan Galvin amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his relationship with the club.
Galvin’s management recently sent a legal notice to the Tigers, claiming the young player has faced bullying and a hostile work environment following his rejection of a lucrative long-term contract.
This legal move comes shortly after Galvin’s teammates, Jarome Luai and Sunia Turuva, took to social media to criticise the teenager’s choice.
After being dropped to reserve grade prior to the Tigers’ match against Parramatta, many are guessing that Galvin may have already played his last game for the club.
In light of the threats aimed at Galvin since the news about his contract situation broke, the Tigers have implemented additional security measures for the young player at upcoming games.

It remains uncertain whether Galvin will represent the Wests Magpies on Monday following the legal developments regarding his situation.
Though it’s clear Galvin is not planning to remain with the club for the long haul, the Tigers have maintained that they will not consider any requests to terminate his contract early.
The legal issues surrounding the young star are a concern for Gibbs, who believes they could significantly affect Galvin’s future in the league.
“What an embarrassment for the management team,” Gibbs expressed on X.
“No player in the league will want to play alongside him now.”
“I’d wager there’ll be a press release out tomorrow before the game.”
“They’ll do anything to undermine the Tigers’ performance tomorrow … the Tigers’ squad is too strong.”
As for the Tigers’ next opponents, the Eels, they are already considered potential front-runners to secure Galvin’s services, especially with the impending departure of Dylan Brown.
When asked about the possibility of signing the talented youngster, Eels coach Jason Ryles indicated that the club would be positioned to engage Galvin when the moment is appropriate.
“With our current five-eighth leaving, we’re actively searching for a replacement,” Ryles stated.
“Lachlan Galvin is an outstanding talent, and we’ll be in touch with him when the timing is right.
“There appears to be a connection from his junior days with us. Ultimately, it’s about what’s best for Lachlan and his family.
“Hopefully, we’ll be among the clubs he considers as options.”
