Brøndby IF has secured the services of Japanese forward Kotaro Uchino on a four-year contract.
Following the departure of Yuito Suzuki earlier this summer, Brøndby is set to welcome another Japanese striker to its ranks.
This morning, the club officially introduced Kotaro Uchino, who will move to Brøndby after completing his time at the University of Tsukuba in Japan.
The 21-year-old had a trial stint with the Danish side last spring, impressing the club’s management so much that he has now been signed on until 2029.
“Kotaro stands out as one of the brightest talents in Japan and is an incredibly promising young striker,” commented sporting director Benjamin Schmedes on Brøndby’s official website.
“During his trial earlier this year, we had the chance to observe him up close, and he made a very strong impression.”
“He brings unique qualities to the striker position, along with a strong desire to improve, and he clearly has his priorities straight. We see tremendous potential in him, and we look forward to unlocking that potential together in the years to come,” Schmedes added.
Kotaro Uchino is expected to join the squad in early July.
