Brøndby IF has secured the services of Japanese striker Kotaro Uchino on a four-year contract.
As Brøndby bid farewell to Yuito Suzuki earlier this summer, they have brought in another Japanese forward to take his place.
This morning, the club officially unveiled Kotaro Uchino, who will be making the move following his time at the University of Tsukuba in Japan.
The 21-year-old had impressed during a trial at the Danish club in spring, leading the management to extend a contract until 2029.
“Kotaro is regarded as one of Japan’s most promising talents and is an exciting young striker,” stated sporting director Benjamin Schmedes on Brøndby’s official website.
“We had the chance to observe him during his trial earlier this year, and he certainly made a lasting impression.”
“He brings a unique skill set as a forward, a strong desire to improve, and a level-headedness that is commendable. We see immense potential in him and look forward to developing that together in the coming years,” Schmedes added.
Kotaro Uchino is expected to join the squad in early July.
