Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium in London, UK, has officially been selected as the host venue for the 2025 Unity Cup.
This exciting tournament will see teams from Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago go head-to-head in a showcase of talent and cultural pride in the Afro-Caribbean invitational event.
The opening match will feature Jamaica taking on Trinidad & Tobago on May 27th, marking the first semi-final clash, followed by a highly anticipated rematch between Nigeria and the Black Stars on May 28th.
The two teams that do not progress to the final will meet for the third-place playoff on May 31st, coinciding with the championship match scheduled for the same day.
Initially launched in 2002 with the memorable ‘NiJam’ showdown between Nigeria and Jamaica, the Unity Cup has grown to embody unity and cultural celebration through football.
This year marks the third edition of the tournament, and for the first time in its history, it will feature four competing teams.
Aside from the competition itself, this event is crucial for all participating teams as they prepare for their World Cup qualifiers later this year.
