Portuguese side Braga have secured the signing of 20-year-old Ivorian midfielder Mario Dorgeles from FC Nordsjaelland for approximately €10.9 million, reportedly making him the most expensive player in Braga’s history.
Having played 83 matches and scored three goals, Dorgeles bids farewell to the Danish club where he joined FC Nordsjaelland from the Right to Dream academy at just 18, immediately integrating into the Superliga squad.
“Mario has transformed from a promising talent into a key player on our Superliga team. Particularly in the spring, he proved invaluable during the championship qualification and the subsequent matches,” stated FCN’s football director Alexander Riget on the club’s official website.
“Both we and Mario agree that the moment has come for him to pursue new challenges after three seasons with us, and simultaneously, we have achieved very satisfactory compensation in our agreement with Braga.”
“I’ve had to put in a lot of hard work during my time at FC Nordsjælland, and there were moments that were quite challenging for me. However, I’m pleased to conclude a season where I’ve been able to showcase my abilities,” Dorgeles reflected.
The transfer to Braga, who finished fourth in Portugal, positions Dorgeles among the top 10 most significant transfers in FC Nordsjaelland’s history.
