Brad Fittler has placed Jake Turpin under the microscope following the Bulldogs hooker’s sin binning for a reckless foul against the Rabbitohs.
In the second half of their match, Turpin received his marching orders for a high tackle on Tyrone Munro.
“That’s reckless. It’s tough to dispute that one; he came in at full speed and really needed to lower his target,” Andrew Johns stated on Nine.

Turpin, who came off the bench for the Bulldogs, had participated in only one match earlier this season against the Dolphins in Round 12.
Last year, he featured in four games after transferring to the Bulldogs from the Roosters.

The 28-year-old had been involved in several physical confrontations leading up to the sin bin incident, drawing heavy criticism from Fittler.
“He really needs to adjust his approach; earlier in the game, he hit Jai Arrow and was penalised. He was fortunate not to be penalised for his incident with back-rower Tallis Duncan,” he explained.
“For someone sitting on the bench waiting for a chance while the team is nearly at the top of the ladder, you’d expect him to exhibit more discipline.”
When Turpin was sent off, the Bulldogs were ahead 22-10.
His absence nearly proved costly, as South Sydney managed to score through Jack Wighton.
With only two minutes remaining, Munro added another try, setting up a thrilling finale, but the Bulldogs managed to secure a 24-18 victory.
