Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo has signed a new long-term deal, tying him to the Vitality Stadium until 2030, thus quelling the growing speculation surrounding his future.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian attacker arrived at the Cherries from Bristol City for approximately €10.3 million in January 2023 and has quickly established himself as a vital player under manager Andoni Iraola.
Semenyo’s standout 2024/25 season saw him net an impressive 13 goals and provide seven assists in all competitions, contributing significantly to Bournemouth’s record tally of 56 points and their joint-best ninth-place finish in the Premier League.

His exceptional performances earned him the Player of the Month award at Bournemouth and attracted interest from several elite clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United.
Despite the intense interest, Bournemouth have remained steadfast in their valuation, reportedly seeking a fee in excess of £60 million to part ways with the Ghana international.
This hefty price tag has led some clubs to pivot their interest, with Tottenham now focusing on fellow Ghanaian Mohammed Kudus given the high asking price for Semenyo.
After securing his new contract, Semenyo expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to continue his journey at Bournemouth for several more years.
“I’ve grown immensely at the club, both professionally and personally, and I’m thrilled to have signed ahead of returning for the pre-season. From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I have nothing but praise for the people associated with this club.
“It’s an incredible place to be, and I’m eager to get back to Bournemouth and carry on the hard work with the new season just around the corner.”
Since joining the club, Semenyo has made 89 appearances and scored 22 goals, establishing himself as a crucial component of Bournemouth’s attacking front. His speed, strength, and adaptability have turned him into a standout player and a fan favourite.
With this new contract, Bournemouth demonstrates their ambition to build around Semenyo as they strive to retain their Premier League place and aim for a higher finish in the table.
The extension also represents an improved contract for Semenyo, who had already signed a deal extension in July 2024. At the Vitality Stadium, he has the platform to further his development while keeping open the possibility of future opportunities at the highest level.
This commitment comes at a critical juncture as Bournemouth gears up for the new season, having recently lost key players like Milos Kerkez to Liverpool and Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid.
