A throng of exuberant Al Hilal supporters has assembled in Miami in anticipation of their Club World Cup clash against European powerhouses Real Madrid on Wednesday.
A large number of fans made the journey from Riyadh, home to the 19-time Saudi Pro League champions, gathering at Miami Beach, waving flags and chanting amidst a crowd of curious onlookers.
Among them was Abdulelah, who arrived in the US on Friday to attend the opening ceremony alongside his friends, before reuniting with his nephews, Faisal, 13, and Fahd, nine.
“Al Hilal is the leading team in Asia. We can pride ourselves on being comparable to Real Madrid in Europe,” he stated confidently.

The last encounter between these two teams took place during the 2022 Club World Cup final in Morocco, where Real Madrid prevailed 5-3. However, Abdulelah is optimistic that the result will be different this time at the Hard Rock Stadium.
“Tomorrow marks the inaugural iteration of the restructured Club World Cup (and) we’re poised to win. Trust me. I know what I’m saying. It’s set to be an enthralling match.”

Faisal expressed his loyalty to the club, saying he became a supporter as soon as he began following the sport.
“From when I first discovered football, my father always said: ‘Support Al Hilal. Support Al Hilal’. So I’ve done just that!”
“Madrid is a formidable team, so it’s exciting to face them and be in the limelight. A victory would be fantastic – just like our stunning performance against Argentina (2-1) in the 2022 World Cup.
“Winning would mean a lot,” added Fahd, hoping for a successful result in their Group H opener. “It would elevate our profile and help us become a globally recognised team.”
“I predict we will win 2-1,” he asserted confidently.

Ahmed, a student hailing from Seattle, Washington, also made the trip to Miami to watch the match with friends, sharing similar optimism.
“We’re definitely going to win,” he proclaimed.
If Al Hilal progresses, they may face his favourite English side, Manchester City, in the next round.
When asked about the potential showdown, he confidently replied: “Of course, Al Hilal will triumph. Without a doubt!”

Al Hilal will face Real Madrid at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Wednesday at 15:00 ET, which is 21:00 CET.
