Ajax have reportedly secured a long-term contract extension for Polish prodigy Jan Faberski.
The 19-year-old winger joined Ajax from Jagiellonia Bialystok in 2022 and has made a strong impression in the youth ranks at the Amsterdam club. The Polish U19 international featured in 34 matches for Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie last season, netting four goals and providing three assists.
As per various Dutch media outlets, Ajax and Faberski have come to terms on a contract extension that will see the young talent remain in Amsterdam until 2030. Although he is yet to make his senior debut, he is expected to take the field for the first team next season.
Â
Faberski had previously hesitated to discuss a contract extension last summer, as he perceived limited opportunities at the club. However, with John Heitinga at the helm, the young player will have the chance to showcase his abilities during the pre-season.
Jan Faberski will vie for the right-wing position in the senior team against Bertrand Traore, Steven Berghuis, Rayane Bounida, and potentially Raúl Moro, who is rumoured to be joining Ajax in an €11-million transfer from Real Valladolid.
