AGF has secured the signing of 24-year-old Danish defender Rasmus Carstensen from FC Köln.
Prior to this move, Rasmus featured in 23 Bundesliga matches for his German side, and he also made his mark in the top-tier Belgian league after transitioning from Silkeborg IF to KRC Genk in 2022.
“Rasmus will enhance the competition in both our defence and wing positions. While he is still relatively young, he arrives with significant experience from the Polish league as well as the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga,” said football director Carsten V. Jensen on the club’s website.
“He is an attacking defender with tremendous stamina, always putting in the hard work for his team. Rasmus played a crucial role in securing the championship title with Lech Poznan. Additionally, he has previously showcased his talent in the Danish Superliga before venturing abroad, where he has gathered invaluable experience and matured as a player.”
