Hawthorn’s midfielder, Conor Nash, is likely facing a significant period away from the game following a swinging arm that knocked out Geelong’s Gryan Miers on Easter Monday.
Miers was pulled from the game due to concussion, and Nash is anticipated to be referred directly to the AFL tribunal regarding the incident.
Cats legend Jimmy Bartel has suggested that a three-week suspension should be regarded as a baseline, though he believes Nash could be facing a harsher penalty.

“(Patrick) Voss received three weeks, and Miers came out worse off than (Nick) Vlastuin,” Bartel conveyed on Nine’s Footy Classified, referencing a similar incident from the prior week.
“I expect it to be at least three weeks (suspension) and more.”
Former Essendon star Matthew Lloyd concurred, stating, “Absolutely, that was very reckless. He deserves significant consequences for it.”

Ex-Adelaide captain Rory Sloane remarked that Nash must refine his tackling approach, especially when challenging shorter opponents.
“That was reckless. I find that unacceptable,” Sloane commented on 3AW.
“He was going against Gryan Miers, who is significantly smaller. He needed to lower his body position—this could cost him several games. I think he’s in serious trouble.”
Miers will be sidelined for Geelong’s upcoming matchup against Carlton as he enters concussion protocols.
