Harry Crawford, a graduate of the Adelaide United academy, has secured his first professional contract with the Isuzu UTE A-League club.
The 18-year-old South Australian has signed a deal that will run until the conclusion of the 2029 season, after making a spectacular debut by scoring his first A-League goal against Brisbane Roar just last week.
This signing marks a remarkable ascent for Crawford, who has experienced a whirlwind few weeks. He made his unexpected debut in the Isuzu UTE A-League on February 15, only hours after playing a full 90 minutes for the club’s NPL team that very day. Fast forward to Round 22, and the young talent scored a memorable goal in front of the home crowd at Coopers Stadium.
Now, as a versatile defender and winger, Crawford has been rewarded with his first professional contract as the Reds continue to focus on nurturing homegrown talent.

“It feels amazing to finally sign my first professional contract here, and doing it with the club I’ve supported since I was five makes it that much more meaningful,” Crawford expressed.
“These past few weeks have been quite a whirlwind, but it’s been incredibly special, especially scoring my first goal at home during my first start.”
Crawford has already made six senior appearances for Adelaide, including four in the Isuzu UTE A-League and two in the Australia Cup.

Crawford further remarked, “It has always been my ambition to play for the Reds. Scoring a goal at the weekend felt surreal, and it was incredibly special to do so at Coopers Stadium.”
“This has always been my desired place, and I am extremely thankful to the club for believing in my capabilities. I will keep striving to enhance my skills every day, both on and off the field.
“This environment is ideal for my development and growth.”

The head of football at Adelaide, Marius Zanin, commented, “Harry’s dedication has truly paid off, representing an excellent example of how hard work and resilience bring rewards.
“He has a promising future, and we’re eager to see how he continues to grow.
“He’s another gifted South Australian player emerging, and we’re excited to have him as part of our future.”
