Former Carlton champion Brendan Fevola was sent off during his local footy return with South Whyalla, following footage that captured him in a scuffle.
Fevola received a yellow card amid the team’s match against rivals Central Whyalla at Memorial Oval in South Australia.
What began as some minor pushing and shoving between the 44-year-old and his opponent quickly escalated into a full-blown brawl, complete with punches being thrown.

During an interview on Melbourne’s The Fox radio station on Monday, Fevola admitted that he had “never heard of Whyalla” before being approached to play.
“I only managed to kick two (goals), but I had seven points,” he recounted.
“I got into a punch-up, which was quite good. Getting sent off was awesome, best day ever,” he continued.
“Someone clocked me in the back of the head and then it was on, bam, bam, bam, UFC-style.”
A notorious hot-head during his playing days, the renowned forward often found himself facing suspension issues.
Nevertheless, the club is reportedly thrilled with Fevola’s presence, dubbing it a “real highlight for our club and the Whyalla community”.
Despite being sent off, he was not reported by match officials following the incident.
Earlier in May, Fevola had also played in the VAFA for the Masala Dandenong Football Club alongside singer Guy Sebastian, who unfortunately suffered a severe knee injury during that match.
Fevola played a total of 204 AFL games for Carlton and Brisbane between 1999 and 2010.
The Blues traded him following the 2009 season due to his well-publicised drunken behaviour during the 2009 Brownlow Medal.
