The Macarthur Bulls have officially secured the signature of CommBank Socceroos midfielder Anthony Caceres as they prepare for the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26 season.
Making the switch to Campbelltown from cross-town rivals Sydney FC, Caceres leaves behind an impressive legacy at Sydney, where he became a club icon by contributing to two Championships, one Premiership, and an Australia Cup title across 216 appearances.
The highly-regarded 32-year-old midfielder now joins a Macarthur squad that is primed for a campaign that includes participation in the AFC Champions League Two.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Bulls at such a pivotal stage in my career. My aim for the upcoming season is to bring joy and success to both the club and its supporters,” Caceres remarked.
“The conversations I had with Mile (Sterjovski) and Sam (Krslovic) really resonated with me regarding their vision for my role and contributions to the team.”
“The Bulls extended a significant effort to sign me, offering my family the chance to play football close to home. As a husband and father, my family comes first, and Macarthur truly met our needs at this stage of our lives.”
Caceres continued, “I aim to instil a winning mentality within the club, building on the foundation of two Australia Cups already won, and utilise my experience to foster a successful team in the forthcoming season.”

His transfer to Macarthur sees him reunited with former Sydney FC teammate Luke Brattan, which adds to the excitement.
“Brattan is one of my closest friends, and we have a fantastic rapport on the pitch,” Caceres shared. “We understand each other’s styles very well and will complement one another, benefiting the team. Our history of winning multiple trophies together adds to my hope of creating new memories with the Bulls.”
