Wydad Casablanca’s head coach, Mohamed Amine Benhachem, along with the team’s physician, encountered a traffic incident in the United States, where the squad is currently competing in the Club World Cup. Fortunately, both individuals sustained no serious injuries, the Moroccan club announced on Monday.
“We wish to inform our supporters that an accident took place this morning involving coach Amine Benhachem and team doctor Dr. Abdelrazak Hefti,” Wydad, who have already been knocked out of the tournament, shared on X.
“Fortunately, there were no serious injuries reported, and all parties involved are in good spirits and receiving the appropriate care,” the club added.
Wydad, who faced defeats against Manchester City and Juventus, will go head-to-head with Al Ain in their final group stage match, with both teams still looking for their first points after two games.
