Former Blues prop Aaron Woods seems to have dodged an awkward public arrest thanks to NSW Premier Chris Minns.
Last week, Woods placed a wager with Today host and proud Queenslander Karl Stefanovic, stipulating that the participant from the losing state of State of Origin II would have to do a nude run into the surf at Bondi Beach.
On Thursday morning, Woods affirmed his plan to honour the bet, only to receive a stern warning from the premier.
During a chat on Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Cat, and Woodsy, the ex-Sea Eagle cheekily invited Minns to join him for the nudie run.

“No—it’s definitely illegal,” was the unequivocal response from Minns.
“Why is this a surprise for you lot? It’s been against the law for ages,” he added, with a cheeky tone.
Former Sharks star Beau Ryan revealed that Woods was “genuinely taken aback” upon learning that nudie runs were illegal when the bet was first suggested.
“He said, ‘What’s illegal?’ I replied, ‘You can’t be nude in public.’ He was like, ‘But at the beach!’ I told him, ‘It’s still a public space. You could get arrested.'”

The premier noted that there are numerous nude beaches in Sydney where Woods could carry out his bet without the risk of a public arrest and subsequent jail time.
Minns himself has an ongoing wager with his Queensland counterpart David Crisafulli, where the loser will participate in an advertising campaign promoting the other state.
Woods’ wager caps off a tumultuous week for the 14-gamer, marked by his “grub” remarks directed at Maroons coach Billy Slater, which instigated an unseemly exchange involving the family of former Maroons coach Paul Green.
However, Slater and the Maroons emerged victorious, clinching game two 26-24 in Perth, setting up a thrilling game three decider in Sydney on July 9.
