Ex-Isuzu UTE A-League players Dane Ingham and Dean Pelekanos are set to compete in the Malaysian Super League next season, having signed with Sabah SC following the expiry of their A-League contracts.
The announcement of Ingham and Pelekanos joining Sabah FC was part of a broader four-player transfer update from the club, managed by the technical director Scott Ollerenshaw, who is a former Socceroo.
Ollerenshaw has been with Sabah as the technical director since 2021, returning to the club after once playing there during the 1990s.
Ingham, 26, moves to the Malaysian side after four seasons with Newcastle Jets. The ex-Perth Glory and Brisbane Roar fullback made a total of 87 appearances for Newcastle from 2021 to 2025 but departed in early June after concluding a two-year contract signed midway through 2023.

The New Zealand international will be joined at Sabah by former Western Sydney Wanderers midfielder Pelekanos. His second spell with the Wanderers ended at the conclusion of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Pelekanos, a product of the Wanderers academy, initially left the club in 2023 to play with St George City FA and later Rockdale Ilinden before he rejoined the A-League in 2024. He made 14 appearances under Wanderers head coach Alen Stajcic before finishing his one-year contract with the side.
