Gabriel Veiga, the Spanish midfielder, has made a move to Porto from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli, with both clubs confirming the transfer on Thursday ahead of the upcoming Club World Cup.
He has penned a five-year deal that includes a buyout clause set at €65 million, as stated on Porto’s official website.
“Thank you, Gabri,” expressed the Saudi club. “We wish you all the best in your next chapter with @FCPorto.”
Since his arrival at Al-Ahli in 2023 from Celta Vigo, Veiga has netted 12 goals and provided 10 assists across 66 appearances, playing a pivotal role in their historic victory in the Asian Champions League Elite title.
Porto will compete in Group A at the 32-club Club World Cup, starting on June 14, where they are set to face Brazil’s Palmeiras, Egypt’s Al-Ahly, and the US side Inter Miami.
