On Sunday evening, FC Copenhagen celebrated their acquisition of the Danish title in style, securing a convincing 3-0 victory before a packed crowd at Parken Stadium on the final day of the season. Last year’s champions, FC Midtjylland, had to settle for second place despite a resilient comeback, clinching a 3-2 win against Randers, while Brøndby rounded out the podium by handing AGF their seventh consecutive defeat in Aarhus, also by a score of 3-2.
Jacob Neestrup’s team entered the last match knowing that a win would secure their 16th Danish title, and the celebrations began early in the second minute when Elias Achouri unleashed a powerful shot that sailed past visiting goalkeeper Andreas Hansen.
This early goal gave the home side a lead that they maintained into the break, although the first half was marred by a severe clash between Lucas Hoegsberg and Gabriel Pereira, leaving Pereira momentarily unconscious. He was taken off on a stretcher but fortunately recovered.
The son of Swedish great Henrik “Henke” Larsson, who has arguably been the standout performer in the Danish Superliga this spring, once again thrilled the Copenhagen supporters by smashing a well-placed through-ball from Achouri into the net just three minutes after the restart, doubling the lead.

Flashare
The match was effectively sealed for the home side when Kevin Diks, playing his farewell game for FC Copenhagen before moving to Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer, scored from the penalty spot after Victor Froholdt was fouled in the area.
FC Midtjylland finished just one point behind FC Copenhagen in the league standings, managing to edge past Randers with two goals in quick succession for a 3-2 win. They had been trailing 2-1 with 17 minutes left when Elies Mahmoud put the visitors ahead.
Brøndby secured third position in the league by defeating AGF 3-2 in Aarhus, dealing Uwe Rösler’s side a seventh straight defeat in the spring season.
Following a major goalkeeping error by Leopold Wahlstedt that allowed Yuito Suzuki to score first for the visitors, Tobias Molgaard and Mikael Anderson struck with two stunning long-range efforts to turn the game around.
However, the visitors still managed to respond with Noah Nartey and Nicolai Vallys finding the net in front of a frustrated Aarhus crowd.
Meanwhile, Aab and Lyngby were relegated from the Superliga and will be replaced by OB and Fredericia in the top tier.
