A contingent of Sevilla supporters invaded the club’s training ground following their 3-2 loss to Celta Vigo on Saturday, forcefully tearing down an access gate as tempers flared. This defeat has left the team precariously positioned, just two spots above the relegation zone in LaLiga.

The seven-time Europa League champions currently sit in 16th place with 38 points from 35 matches, far from the sought-after European qualifications.

After experiencing their 15th loss of the season at Estadio Balaidos, hundreds of irate fans congregated outside the club’s premises, eagerly awaiting the players’ return.

While police and the club’s security successfully managed to control the situation, local reports suggest that the team will remain at the training facility overnight to avoid confrontation with the upset crowd.
